Consortium Sedinum
Consortium Sedinum is a courtly band set up in 2000 in Szczecin. The band is the only professional chamber music group in the West-Pomeranian region. Consortium Sedinum's primary aim is to continue the musical traditions of old Szczecin.
The band's main activity is the continuation of creative output of the University Baroque Orchestra – Consortium Iagellonicum operating at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow (1993-2000).
Urszula Stawicka is the artistic director of the band. She is a clarinettist and organist, a graduate of Cracow Music Academy. As a soloist, chamber musician and bossa continuo producer, she cooperates with numerous bands, music institutions, philharmonics, opera theatres both from Poland and abroad on a regular basis. In 2006 she received a creative scholarship from the Culture and National Heritage Minister.
Main achievements 2000-2008:
"Music at Europe's Courts" concert cycle presentation 2000-2008 (The National Museum in
Szczecin, Decius Villa in Cracow. A presentation of 16th and 17th century composers who
lived and created in Szczecin, entitled “Pomeranian Duchy – Culture and art patrons from
the House of Griffins: Bogusław X, Barnim XI, Filip II, Bogusław XIV. The presentation
was carried out with funding from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage from the
Creativity Promotion Funds.- Polish Year in Germany 2003. The band took part in concerts of the Polish Year in Germany
celebrations. Usedomer Musikfestival, Uckermarkische Musik Wochen
Polish Season in France Nova Polska 2004. The band took part in concerts taking place of
the Polish Season in France organized by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage,
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Adam Mickiewicz Institute.- Presentation of Polish music at the celebrations of Poland joining the EU in Dusseldorf,

the Pauline Fathers Monastery Archives in Jasna Góra. - Conducting educational workshops and courses popularizing chamber music.
